Taking Advantage of Voice Activated Searches

Published 21.01.2019  Author: J.D  Category: News

The recent years have seen many changes to technology, with products being released that seemed to only ever be fictional. The biggest trend in the last few months has been voice activated searches, through products such as Amazon's Alexa and Google Home. This has been an ongoing discussion within the marketing world on how exactly to combat these changes.

Consumers no longer need to type out the things they are looking for, they can ask their devices questions as if they are a person in the room with all the knowledge anyone ever needs. This movement has caused SEO experts to invest their time working out a new way to optimise websites to suit this new way of searching. An example of this, would be that consumers would directly ask a service like Siri "What are the best Online Casinos" meaning that the searches are much more naturally spoken and will require a reformat of search engine optimisation
to pick these up.

Obviously it the traditional search is still the most dominant across the internet but with the demand for these voice activation products rapidly increasing, it's thought that up to 50% of all searches by the year 2020 will be by voice. The prediction seems realistic with almost every UK household now having either an Amazon Echo or a Google Home, and if not - most smart phones have a voice search.

There are a few ways to ensure your site is efficient when it comes to voice searches, as most users will tend to be asking direct questions - FAQs are quickly going to rise to the top of search results. Due to the fact FAQs will be worded how the user will ask and the answer will be straight to the point and simple. This is another thing to consider, is your content going to be perceived well being read to a user. Content cannot be skim read to quickly find the right information by services like Siri, the entire passage will be read meaning that it will be important to keep answers short and sweet.

Affiliate marketing is constantly changing and its important you keep on top of these trends before you fall behind.

Affiliate Marketing Trends for 2019

Published 07.01.2019  Author: J.D  Category: News

2018 was an incredible year for technology and to expansion of the internet and how people use it, with the new year in full swing, it's important to review how 2019 will take shape. Being ahead of the trends and being prepared for what is to come and how to improve your site to better attract traffic and convert it into commission.

Something that hasn't changed much is that reviews are still at the top of the food chain when it comes to conversions, often because the traffic your receive will be customers who are on at tipping point on whether to spend their money or look elsewhere. You can be the final push to them purchasing and claim the commission on a sale you didn't necessarily generate from scratch. Even if you leave a brilliant review convincing someone to part with their money, you can always offer an alternative in case you don't quite tip the scales. Reviews will remain at the top through the coming years as customers like to gather other opinions before they make a choice.

Text content is becoming something of the past, with people feeling less inclined to spend time reading something when they can sit at a screen and watch things being presented to them. As an affiliate, if you have the resources to formulate something creative, it could be the difference between generating a conversion or someone clicking elsewhere.

In the second half of 2018 we saw a big shift towards voice activation, with products such as Google Home and Amazon's Alexa taking over homes. However the formally popular keywords and phases that boost yourself up on search engines might be taking a back seat, affiliate marketers will need to start optimising towards more natural speech patterns.

In the Affiliate Marketing industry, you must stay ahead of the competition and constantly update what you are posting on the internet in order to maintain a steady income as an affiliate.
